Visiting Costa Del Sol And Marbella by Danielnoah

A nice holiday

Everyone needs a break from the madding crowd of the agitated cities; the stress, the everyday problems, the job, they all create pressures on every individual, so a break from all these is always welcomed. If you do not know which holiday destination to choose, we can help you with a suggestion: Marbella. Situated on the southern Costa del Sol in Spain, Marbella enjoys a wonderful climate which makes it excellent for a seaside destination.

Going to the beach in Marbella

It is true that a lot of celebrities have holiday homes in Marbella, because they are attracted like magnets by the beaches in this wonderful place. The offer is very varied in Marbella; there is a beach for every taste. For example, if you just want to relax and sunbathe, the Golden Mine is the right place for this. Its name comes from the color of the sand, which seems to be made of gold. Calahonda also has a great offer when it comes to beaches and if you travel with your little ones, go to Funny Beach where you will find a lot of trampolines for children.

Shopping in Marbella

If you are on holiday, you have to buy souvenirs for those back home. You can choose a big shopping centre or the small but coquette crafts shops like India Exotica. One thing is sure: you will definitely find something to attract your attention.

Sightseeing

Marbella is not only about beaches and shopping. There are a lot of interesting places that you can visit such as Puerto Banus built in 1970, now one of the most luxurious ports in Spain. The Old Town will charm those who are in love with history and the past of different civilizations. The main piece of the Old Town is the fountain which the locals say is five hundred years old. The houses that managed to stay alive during centuries offer you a glimpse into what Marbella used to be and the castle ruins stay as proof of its past. In the Orange Square you will find the Santiago Chapel, patiently waiting to be explored.

Eating and drinking

One of the pleasures of a holiday is to taste the traditional dishes of the place you visit. Marbella has plenty of restaurants serving delicious meals and bars serving the famous tapas. If you choose a fancy restaurant, make sure you book places days ahead as you might have difficulties in finding a table. Enjoy your holiday in Marbella!

What Makes Great Romantic Travel Destinations? by Asa Gislason

When most of us think about romantic travel destinations we think first of luxury travel resorts and first class flights. It's easy to imagine romantic feelings blossoming when thinking about sipping champagne with your loved one on your private veranda with beautiful views over the sea.

A touch of romance is though not about money... it's about feelings and setting the right mood for those feelings to blossom. Romantic travel destinations are all about the ambience, about the character and atmosphere of a place and money can't buy that... at least not on its own.

But What Is Romance And Romantic Holiday?

This is trickier question than it first looks like because what one couple thinks is the most romantic experience ever could easily be another couple's worst romantic nightmare. Romantic destinations can be as different as:

  • Staying at luxury resort or camping in the wild

  • Rejuvenating at a secluded spa or enjoying dining and wining city break

  • Shopping in designer boutiques or bargaining hard at local markets

  • Dining at Michelin star restaurants or picnicking on the beach

  • Going on a relaxing beach holiday or actively pursue some leisure activity like skiing, golfing, hiking

What is romance and romantic travel destinations is not only very personal - the reasons for going on a romantic break can also vary greatly:

  • You have just met and everything you do together has romantic in front of it

  • You met long time ago and you want to add a touch of romance into your love life

  • You are aware of the importance of keeping the romance alive in your relationship and romantic breaks are only one part of that

  • You are celebrating a milestone in your relationship, like an anniversary

  • You want to propose... or hoping that a touch of romance will encourage your partner to do so

  • You are getting married and are going on a honeymoon

  • You are renewing your vows and romantic holiday is part of that romantic experience

Giving travel romance tips that suits everyone's romance ideas and all occasions is therefore not straightforward. Maybe the best travel romance tip is not to expect too much of your romantic travel destinations. That is... going on what you consider to be a romantic holiday is on its own not enough.

Romance and romantic experiences are about feelings, about the right mood. You can't plan feelings but you can definitely set the mood.

Romantic Travel Destinations - For Any Occasion And Any Budget

Fortunately there are romantic travel destinations available for any occasion and for any budget.

The truly luxurious travel destinations are something that most of us can only dream of. We might let that dream come true on the big occasion in our life, like when on our honeymoon or when celebrating big anniversary or other important milestones in our relationships.

Rest of the time we are likely to go on a holiday to a romantic place but staying in more moderate priced accommodation... while still adding a touch or romance to the trip. It can be because the accommodation is characteristically different; the location is poetry romantic or offers activities that you enjoy doing together as a loving couple.

You can even do romantic holiday on a budget. You might not be staying in exclusive luxury resorts but you will be with your loved one, enjoying spending romantic time together. When we grow older we tend to have higher disposable income and therefore able to travel in more style. Most of us though look fondly back to the time when we had to save our pennies and enjoy travelling for what it is... experiencing and enjoying - ideally with our loved one.

Finally there are many different and exotic romantic travel destinations. You can do exotic holiday for any budget, luxury, moderate or budget. You just have to be up for doing something different. It can be safari in Africa, spending a night on a deserted island, sleeping in hammock in the Amazon jungle, climbing Kilimanjaro, photographing grizzly bear in Alaska... whatever you fancy for a touch of romance.

Just remember - romance and romantic experiences are about feelings, about the right mood. You can't plan feelings but you can set the mood.

Ring in the New - Chinese Style in Hong Kong by Pushpitha Wijesinghe

The story of the Chinese New Year goes back a long way. It all started when the legendary monster, locally referred to as 'Nian', began to visit the villagers on the last day of the year. It was believed that this monster was scared of the colour red and loud noises. So the village folk would hang red paper and tried to make as loud a noise as possible with firecrackers in order to save their lives from this man-eating monster. As the story goes, these repulsion strategies worked and ever since then the dawn of the Chinese New Year is celebrated in this fashion. With time, the New Year Celebrations became more and more adorned with other forms of celebration but the basic red paper and firecrackers are still part of it to keep the monster away.

Being a special occasion for all, the Chinese New Year brings out the traditions and festival culture of the locals. Pomp and pageantry, and flamboyance is synonymous with this celebration as the festive mood hits the streets with parades, fiestas, fireworks and other lively events.

The Quiet Fulfilment of Taj Mahal Tours by Jenny Franklin

The Taj Mahal India cannot be denied its importance. It is undoubtedly the most famous monument India can boast of, one of the Seven Wonders of the world. The monument itself is beyond description, and the experience of Taj Mahal Tours matches its glamour.
The Taj Mahal is located in the city of Agra, within the state of Uttar Pradesh. The closest access point to this city is the national capital, New Delhi, which makes for the most convenient point of transit. Agra can be travelled to easily by road, in a comfortable journey which lasts no more than a couple of hours.
Taj Mahal Tours are not packed with plenty of happening moments. This is, instead, a quiet tour which gives you a deep insight into history and culture that India boasts of. The Taj Mahal Tour may be simple and small in its coverage compared to other elaborate tours, but the magic it weaves is worth the while.
The first impression of the Taj Mahal is that of wonder. The entrance, walkways, manicured paths and gardens, the fountains and water bodies do build up the anticipation, but the first glance of the Taj leaves you spellbound. The monument is larger than life, with an aura of isolated sophistication. It is hard to believe that this ode to timeless love is actually the resting place of a monarch and his beloved.
The Taj Mahal was designed to be a mausoleum, one built by the bereaved emperor Shahjahan as a tribute to his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who lost her life during childbirth. This imposing structure took all of twenty two thousand labourers over twenty years to build, and the effort shows in every slab of marble, each detail in the inlay and all delicate stones encrusted to perfection within the Taj Mahal.
The Taj Mahal is a delight to view no matter what time of day. The Taj Mahal begins its day in blushing shades of pink and gentle reds. Through the day, it dazzles - the sun bringing out its finest shades of white and cream against the backdrop of clear blue skies. Its subtle shades of crimson make way for a translucent blue as the sun sets, and the colour is quick to turn an ashen gray in the night. On a full moon night, the Taj Mahal has a bright halo around it, highlighting the spires and dome, and accentuating its greatest features.
Taj Mahal Tour Packages allow you as much of the Taj Mahal as you can take in. This tour is dedicated to the cause of the Taj, to expose you to its beauty and legend. An experience of Taj Mahal will give you a renewed belief in love and its power. Besides the Taj Mahal, the tour also enables you to feast your senses to some of the delights found around the Taj Mahal. All in all, this tour is a grand walk into the richest era of Indian history.

HOW TO CHOOSE A CRUISE VACATION by Bud

Cruising has become one of the world's favorite ways of taking a vacation for millions of vacationers every year. So if you have been thinking of taking a cruise and have questions on what size ship to go on and how much it costs and where to go maybe we can help make your cruise smooth sailing.

Taking a cruise Is a great way to get away from it all. However cursing probably has more misperceptions than any other type of vacation. People think that cruses are only for newlyweds, fat people or those that are nearly dead. Despite the misperceptions cruses are really popular for many reasons.

You have the luxury of having everything in one place. You have a fine hotel, fine dining and transportation and with over 200 ships to choose from it can really be a hard task picking the right one for you. Buying a cruise is a lot like buying a car because it is an investment of your money and your time. There is such a difference between cruise lines so you want to make sure that the cuisine line you choose fits your lifestyle and offers the vacation package with things you want to do and enjoy.

The best bet is to consult a travel agent as they can give you all the information that you need like what ship, how many days, how much it will cost and make sure you are going where you want to travel to. Your travel agent will also tell you that you are required now to have a passport to take a cruise, so make sure you get yours well in advance.

Do make some important decisions before committing yourself on your cruise. First you must decide if you want to be on a floating city or on an intimate vessel? Next you have to decide which is more important the ship or the ships destination. Another question is where you want to go, like to beaches or historical site?

Not every ship will have the perfect antennary so you will have to make many of these decisions before you invest in your vacation package. Next you will have to decide whether you want to port at one location or a different port every day. You will also have to decide what kind of cabin you will need. Do you need a luxury suite with a veranda, whirlpool and a butler or maybe a budget cabin just to keep your luggage and to sleep will do. Another question is do you like to be dressed in formal attire or is casual attire more to your liking? You don't want to walk around in a Tux when everyone else is in shorts.

What about your choice of food? Do like really good food or do you enjoy just eating gourmet food? And will you be comfortable sitting with 4 -12 strangers or do you enjoy dining alone?

Another big question is do you want to be on a ship with a lot of activity or a ship that you can just relax on? The most important will be if you want to spend as little as possible or just go all the way out with an unlimited budget. Remember the more you pay for your vacation the more you are going to get.

The price is going to be the first thing you are going to consider but don' be shocked the first time you see the cost. Compare it to the cost of a traditional vacation and you will see it is cheaper and more convenient.

If expense is not a real problem then try to get a suite if you plan on spending any time at all in your room. Also get the layout of the ship to study the ship's layout before you book your cabin. And make sure you understand how the cabins are categorized because some do not have any windows and some have balconies and other types of amenities. Some have one bed and others have more. The inside cabins have windows that you can watch all the things going on inside the ship which is really enjoyable and the outside cabins have an ocean view which is wonderful if you have a deck to sit out on for real privacy.

If you are on a budget make sure you do not book the cabins closet to the bow or nearest to the stern. The anchor is in the bow and it is the narrowest part of the ship and when the anchor goes down you are going to know it. Also in the stern is where the thrusters are and you will feel a lot of vibration when the ship comes into port.

The best tip I can give you is never pay list price for your cruise, shop around and get the best deal you can, but once you get the best price be careful and make sure the bargain price includes everything the normal fare includes. Also they do have some additional charges for things like soda, alcohol and the casinos; shops etc. and make sure you do book early as you can save up to 50 percent if you book well in advance.

Though my expertise of being a travel agent I have been working on a travel site for the last 4 years to help people have a better travel experience. Also provide them with ways to save money while on vacation so they can still have a great time with limited resources. With the economy the way it is today even if you are well to do spending all your money on hotels or tickets is foolish when you can get them complementary or free.
