Dalian China Pole-Aquarium Travel Guide And Tips by Shane Lee

The Dalian Pole-Aquarium (China) has been invested totally 470,000,000 RMB, covering an area of 20,000 square meters with a construction area of 36,000 square meters. The building has two floors, divided into 5 sections: Large Polar Animals, Polar Experience, Animal Knowledge, Mysterious Ocean world, and Polar Animal Performance.

The lovely white whale is the mascot of the Pole-Aquarium. It is a member of Mammalia, Cetacea, living in the Arctic, mainly feeding on fish, shrimps, and cuttlefish. It can eat as much as 50 kilograms of fresh fish a day. Its whole body is in white with a thick and roundish forehead and columned teeth in the mouth. The baby white whale is grey, about 80 kilograms. As it grows, the body will become more and more bright, because white is the best protective color in the ice-covered Arctic. Adult white whales weigh 400 to 1500 kilograms. Their life span is around 30 or 40 years. While eating and playing, they like to make happy sound, sweet and melodious, and that's why they get the gracious name - the canary in the sea.
